Intern- HR & Admin Assistant , Justice Defenders

We are looking for an organized and efficient HR intern to join our team. The HR Assistant Intern will be responsible for providing support to the HR and Admin team in performing various HR and Admin functions which include recruitment, induction, performance management, personnel data management, staff training and development, organization and upkeep staff records as well providing general administrative support.

Assist in ensuring that all employment practices, compensation, employee benefits, and human resources programs are within established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies of APP and local labour laws.
Assist the HR &Admin Manager in periodic review and update of Human Resources policies and procedures in line with changes in the regulatory and labour environment.
Assist in the coordination of the performance management process to ensure that it is effective and that it is linked to the staff development programmes.
Assist in the facilitation of staff training and development programmes. This includes training needs analysis, evaluation of training, feedback to management, and coordination of special programmes.
Assist in the human resources planning process including staff recruitment and selection process for the organization.
Assist in the facilitation of the induction for all new staff/volunteers

Provision of administrative support, which includes employee file management.
Assist in generating, managing, and sharing staff leave reports and keeping track of their time off.
Assist in updating on google drive staff list, visitors and staff visiting prions
Assist in logistical planning; Booking of flights, accommodation, transfers, conferencing, and meetings
Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Diploma In Business Administration Diploma In Human Resources Management
Diploma in Human Resource Management or Business administration from a recognized institution.

More Details on Experience
Membership to IHRM will be an added advantage
Experience level: Mid-level
Experience length: 6months
Served in the position of HR Assistant or in a similar position for a period of 6 months.

Proficiency in computer applications; and
Shown merit and abilities as reflected in work performance and results
Proficiency in working with Microsoft office suite
Comfortable with highly confidential information

Writing ability
Good verbal and written communication skills
