Position: Area Sales Manager

Location: Nairobi

Job Description

The Area Sales Manager is responsible of ensuring that all branches achieve the desired targets as well as increase profits in these branches. S/he will be accountable for the overall operations of all the branches in the organization, as well as submitting analytical reports to the management. The Area Sales Manager is majorly responsible for the efficient day to day operation of the Branches.


➢ Ensures that all relevant and important information are communicated efficiently to staff. ➢ Ensures that the appropriate marketing and promotional information are efficiently communicated to staff.

➢ Assisting in closing sales deals and handling of difficult customers.

➢ Monitoring of sales performance of branch by staff.

➢ Ensures the follow-up on outstanding deliveries and sales.

➢ Assist in the identification of opportunities for new products and for enhancement and development of existing products.

➢ Monitor and report on the activities of competitors and potential collaborators and to identify business opportunities and threats.

➢ Preparation of sales budget, monitoring of branch expenses and monitoring of discounts. ➢ Performance management to the branch managers: Coaching and mentoring of staff, training of the staff and ensure staff motivation.

➢ Ensuring branch managers are following all policies and procedures i.e. reporting on branch progress, branch visits and follow up on big orders


The job holder should ideally possess:

A degree in Sales and Marketing Management or in any related field
The ideal job holder should have Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Excellent knowledge in Word, Excel and other relevant computer software.
Planning, leading and analytical skills
Excellent decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
Experience in the Retail industry is an added advantage.
